Tequila & Tehuacan is a magic effect involving a Mexican10 Pesos (brass ringed coin) and a U.S. Kennedy half dollar (nickel plated coin, silver in appearance).

The most basic form of this effect using this beautiful set of gaffed coins is in which the coins appear to transpose in the spectator's hands.

The effect relies on a simple gimmick and the miracles performed with it are self-working and are easy to do, as well as it helps you develop your skill further.

The effect is named after the very potent Mexican liquor named Tequila, and Tehuacan is a local form of sparkling mineral water; both are combined to create a strong and pungent barrage that is called “Tequila & Tehuacan”; the Mexican10 Pesos coin represents the "Tequila" and the silver coin represents the "Tehuacan".

The effect is usually performed as follows: The magician displays two coins of almost equal size, one Mexican10 Pesos and one U.S. Kennedy half dollar. The magician stacks the coins and places them into the spectator's hand. He then asks to place the hands behind the back and put one coin in each hand, remarking that the silver coin is slightly larger than the Mexican10 Pesos coin, making them easy to tell apart. The magician asks to see the silver coin, which the spectator produces. When the spectator opens the other hand, the Mexican10 Pesos coin has become a U.S. Quarter or a Mexican 5 Pesos coin. The Mexican10 Pesos coin can then be made to appear wherever the magician desires, such as in the spectator's pocket or under an object across the room.

Each set of Tequila & Tehuacan is hand made by Rolando Medina, and includes all other items needed for the multiple handlings of this awesome set of gaffed coins, each coin is hand polished and each gaff is engraved with RM’s signature.
